I took a place on market Will Donald Trump be Re-Elected in 2020? by means of guesser.io

I wish to use augur extra and try to know it so I downloaded the dapp and am trying to see the mechanics that guesser abstracts away.

Once I go to my portfolio and see my positions inside the augur dapp, I anticipated to see a number of “NO” bids on the subject of my place taken on guesser however I see a number of “YES” votes as an alternative. I’ve posted hyperlinks to the positions under. If anybody may assist me perceive I might drastically respect it

  1. Since your “net position” is negative, I believe that means you have “shorted” the Yes position, aka are betting against it. Not certain though.

  2. For a binary market you only see the YES token. The no token is just negative yes. By selling and taking the No position, you now have -0.3537 in position. Note how on Guesser it shows your max possible payout is the same.

  3. Hey! Guesser co-founder here. Some insights that might help you understand:
    – A negative “net position” on Augur for the Yes outcome basically means you’re betting No.
    – Augur tells you you hold 0.3537 shares of negative Yes (->No) acquired at price 0.4346 (guesser odds 1/(1-0.4346)=1.76) -> 0.3537*(1-0.4346)=0.2eth, the total amount you bet.

IMPORTANT: due to Augur’s v1 [cutoff](https://www.augur.net/blog/v1-cutoff/), you should try to close your bet on this market through Augur, or (if you wait until next week when we’re rolling out this feature) on Guesser. There’s a chance that this market, ending after September 2019, does not resolve as intended.

Note: all operations here might have some rounding error due to the % market creator fee not being taken into account for simplicity.
