ETC Labs Expands its ETC Core Development Team to Enhance Network Security | by Ethereum Classic Labs | Ethereum Classic Labs | Oct, 2020

Ethereum Classic Labs

In light of the recent attacks on Ethereum Classic, stated in the ETC Network Security Plan, we have made a promise to do everything we can to enhance security, strengthen the network and invest more resources, both human and financial. As a part of that initiative, we’re expanding the ETC Labs and its ETC Core development team.

Optimistically and encouraged, we welcome:

  • Luke Williams, Core-Geth Developer
  • Dean Pappas, Developer Relations Manager

“At ETC Labs, we are prioritizing the technology and addressing key issues that impact the blockchain ecosystem as a whole,” said James Wo, Founder and Chairman of ETC Labs. He added, “we’re confident that the addition of Luke and Dean will help to propel the advancement and ultimately the security of ETC.”

Luke Williams, Core-Geth Developer

Luke is a blockchain-focused open-source developer with 6+ years of experience working with Proof-of-Work consensus engines. About Ethereum Classic Labs (ETC Labs)

The mission of ETC Labs is to build relevant, accessible, and high-quality technology, and to use that technology to create communities of value in a mature and regulated ecosystem. The ultimate goal is to fulfill the promise of blockchain to improve people’s lives using Ethereum Classic, one of the world’s major public blockchains. The ETC Labs team of experts also fosters partnerships with organizations and institutions to address fundamental challenges in developing and deploying this innovative technology. We fulfill the mission in three ways: the ETC Labs Accelerator, which invests in up to 25 blockchain projects annually that contribute to sustaining a robust ecosystem; strategic investments in innovative projects focused on economic and social development; and the Core Team, a team of experts and developers who maintain the Ethereum Classic blockchain and build key applications, solutions, and tools.
