I’m pleased to announce Yan Martins as the new CEO of Hathor, and I’m transitioning to CTO.

As we close 2020 and prepare ourselves for the next steps, I openly write this message to all Hathor community members, researchers, token holders, developers, and enthusiasts.
Between pandemics and other adversities, we consider 2020 to be a year of victory, despite all the hardships we have faced along the way in our professional and personal lives. Our team has grown in numbers, and it will grow even more in 2021.
I would like to announce that Yan Martins is taking over my place as CEO of Hathor Labs as I become the CTO. This management change comes at a crucial time, as we imagine 2021 as a year with complex technical needs.
As previously announced in our communication channels, we have compelling use cases being built over the network, requiring more significant firepower. Therefore, we believe that it is the right moment to reorganize all of our resources and have someone allocated full time as CTO.
I will focus on the planning, coordination, and execution of our technical roadmap. I’m looking forward to future developments of Nano Contracts, Oracles, Side-DAGs, and all pieces of our technical roadmap, enabling a wider variety of use cases to run over Hathor’s technology.
Yan and I have been working together and sharing management tasks in recent months. Even under complicated circumstances, Yan demonstrated that he has the drive and the capacity to be the leading figure Hathor Network needs right now.
Yan’s role as a leader has been strengthening within Hathor’s structure in recent months, which led to this change in the most natural way possible.
As a former CEO, I couldn’t be happier to pass the baton to someone so capable and committed to Hathor’s bright future. Yan has what it takes to make our team deliver even more results, and I will be by his side, supporting this journey from a technical standpoint.
Thank you all for the support, and let’s come together for a fantastic 2021!
Marcelo Salhab Brogliato
CTO of Hathor Labs
