December 1st, 2022 — welcoming new builders to the Cartesi ecosystem and reaching even more new developer communities!

From one jam-packed month to the next, November got off to a sensational start with ETH Global’s return to San Francisco for their biggest hackathon yet. We joined with our very own Hacker Home housing 13 talented scholars, a R3charge Station fueling over 1700 builders, and saw 9 innovative projects built with our recently launched Cartesi Rollups Testnet Alpha.

We also joined San Francisco Blockchain Week 2022, connecting with new game developer communities at GAM3R, blockchain start-ups, entrepreneurs and investors at 0xpo: Crossroads, major projects with friends at IoTeX, and enthusiastic student communities at CESC. Core Cartesi developer, Felipe gave a great 1 minute lightning talk on how to address scalability with application-specific rollups and novel execution environments, make sure to check it out:

Can’t get enough of the tech talks? Check out core developer Guilherme in an insightful Twitter Spaces session with other EIP-2535 builders in the Web3 space and our Fireside Tech Debate! We brought together Cartesi core developers to chat deeper about how app-specific modular execution environments can solve programmability issues, scale computation, and drive innovation.

If an in-depth read is more up your alley, you won’t be disappointed. Dive into Core Contributors Felipe and Brandon’s creative analogy to understand how Cartesi tech is addressing scalability and making decentralized blockchain technology truly accessible and expressive. Or get stuck into the last article in our Tech & Society series! Explore psychological freedom and how blockchain can unlock our sense of power and agency in the world today.

With Cartesi Labs’ grants, we’re fostering the growth of the Web3 movement at large and helping developers world over ignite their DApp development. November saw us announce an exciting new partnership with Think & Dev!

Based in Delaware, USA, Think & Dev have since expanded with teams across Argentina, Venezuela and Mexico. We’re excited to work together with their prominent Web3 software house in Argentina, onboarding their technical team to Cartesi.

Not only will they be working on building the DApps of the future with Cartesi tech, Think & Dev will also handle projects from clients looking to step into a decentralized world and be a key partner for us to connect with local developer communities in Argentina:

No matter the market conditions, we keep on building. November saw continued progress on Cartesi Rollups Alpha. From an improved Javascript example to a new simple Auction DApp example to inspire developers across Web3, take a look at what’s new in the 0.7.0. release.

For a full roundup of developments across the board, we also shared with the community a comprehensive recap of developments made in October:

Stay tuned for November’s dev recap coming up in December!

If you’re not a developer, you might have many questions about what we’re doing. Luckily, our team is made up of people just like yourself who are excited and enthusiastic about what we’re building and about making Web3 tech accessible to all.

Catch up with Tech Community Manager Shaheen’s AMA on Cartesi Rollups Testnet Alpha and more.

P.S. If you have someone you’d like to introduce to Cartesi, this is the perfect article to share!
